Ikeda Ippei began his study of piano in early childhood. As well as an highly 
praised performer of jazz and experimental music, he is also active as an acto
r, writer, and director of theater. He has collaborated on numerous occasions 
as a musician with traditional Japanese dancers, actors, and installation arti
sts. Currently he acts with the theater group Yamiichi Kodo and performs widel
y as a jazz musician in Kyoto. 

池田一平：ピアノ弾き。役者。1973 年生まれ、大阪・滋賀出身。 京都大学在学時に演
劇活動を始めるとともに、ジャズピアニスト岩瀬章光氏 に師事。 以降京都・大阪でラ
イブ活動を行う。 2010年から尺八バンド「夕顔」 に参加。ヨーロッパツアーなどを行
うが、2014年より活動休止。 現在はジャズライブ活動 の他、フラメンコとの交流、即
興演奏イベントなども行う。 また、舞踏・朗読のイベントに於いても様々なコラボを
行い好評を博している。 なお1995年から現在まで、即興的演劇的行為集団「やみいち
行動」のメンバー として、役者・パフォーマーとしても活動している。
